Understanding Your Mental Health
There is software and hardware, nature and nurture when coming to understanding your mental health. Very often, particularly in relationships, there is an unconscious dimension that replays.
When connecting with anyone, your mind is running multiple algorithms based on all your prior relationship experiences, including before conscious memory. All this material runs in real time, in the living moment, largely outside of your immediate awareness.
The brain obviously is an ancient and sophisticated machine, sitting in the darkness of your skull doing an oceanic amount of work outside of your awareness; this is the stark reality of the unconscious. It has massive unrealized influences on your living moment, including while reading this.
Transformational Change
Our psychodynamic and psychoanalytic providers will attune to this dimension and shed light on it over time. This cannot be elucidated quickly however and emerges gradually with your provider. Pending how deep you want to go into this; we can provide insights and ways to venture into this material to produce deeper transformational change.
These include psychodynamic therapy and, or psychoanalysis. Developing insight into your unconscious tides/currents can be extremely helpful in navigating your life. Like a “conscious rider on an ancient unconscious horse” you will become more apt at doing this.
Other orientations that are more targeted to specific personality structures will be recommended as well such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
