Fees and Insurance
We have in-network and out-of-network pathways. For the in-network route you will follow the Headway link for your preferred provider, create a patient profile on Headway, verify that your insurance is in-network with them electronically, then Headway will give you a projection of what your expected copay will be. Via Headway we accept most plans in-network including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Optum and United.
Of note, those proceeding via the in-network pathway must be willing to work with a mid-level provider such as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or psychiatric physician assistant once they are fully evaluated and stabilized. Our mid-level providers are directly supervised by one of our MD psychiatrists and work in close conjunction. Typically, you will be evaluated and stabilized by the MD psychiatrist first, then transition to a mid-level provider for ongoing fine tuning of your treatment plan. Many mid-level providers can do an initial evaluation and full work up as well, but will consult with their supervising Psychiatrist throughout.
For the out-of-network pathway, each provider sets their own fees. You can inquire what these are under their individual profiles here on our website. If proceeding via the out-of-network route, you can continue to work directly with your MD Psychiatrist on an ongoing basis without the eventual use of a mid-level provider.
In-network rates are fixed and calculated via Headway once you register your health care insurance with them. You can see your proposed co-pay once you’ve registered. For out-of-network, each MD Psychiatrist in our group sets their own rates. You may inquire on the tab below all of our providers’ out-of-network rates. You may directly discuss with them the possibility of sliding scale adjustment.
